Me and my family’s stay was wonderful, we enjoyed every moment we were there. It is so peaceful and relaxing and a great place to get away from the city. Me and my family honestly enjoyed the peaceful feeling of the river and just nature in general is so beautiful.

10/10 – Perfect Riverside Getaway!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for a quiet and relaxing getaway! From the moment we arrived, everything was spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared. The setting couldn’t be more peaceful — tucked right along the river with incredible views. We spent hours on the back deck just watching the water flow by and were lucky enough to spot bald eagles soaring overhead almost every day!
The hosts went above and beyond to make our stay special. They were so accommodating, even providing thoughtful extras for our pet — something we truly appreciated. It’s rare to find a place that feels so welcoming for both people and pets alike.
If you’re looking for a beautiful, tranquil retreat where you can unwind, reconnect with nature, and feel completely taken care of, this is the spot. We can’t recommend it highly enough and can’t wait to come back!

Our family stayed here for a weekend (2 adults, 5 kids, 1 pup) and had a great time despite the rainy weather. We saw a family of bald eagles flying up and down the river which was a highlight! The firepit and hot tub were in constant rotation. We enjoyed the games and fast internet as well. We would stay again!

Thank you so much for hosting us! We had beautiful weather and a fabulous weekend of relaxation with our dogs. During our stay, we visited the Flat River Saloon, explored the Lehman Nature Trails, and stopped by Anderson & Girls. The cottage is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed to feel right at home. It was exactly the peaceful, recharging weekend we were looking for.

We had the best time at the Evart Escape. We wanted a cabin for a weekend get away. The fall colors and the river were gorgeous, but we were drawn to spend time indoors where it was cozy and comfy - this was perfect! We’d love to come again. The hosts have definitely thought of everything and definitely know what they’re doing! Excellent stay!

10/10 recommend staying at this beautiful home if you are looking for a peaceful weekend to unplug & reconnect with nature! The location is definitely secluded with the woods next to the house! I am used to being in the city so it was definitely a much needed change of pace & took a night to adjust to the darkness & quietness of this home at night but by the second night I was in love with it! They were phenomenal hosts & extremely accommodating & responsive with any & all questions! Their home was lovely & super warm & cozy! They had all the necessities you could think of & need! I highly recommend staying here!! Thank you!!

This was a wonderfully secluded yet accessible place to stay for an active visit to Michigan. We visited Holland, Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Traverse City during our brief 3-day stay. The accommodations were excellent and Frank was very accessible if we needed anything (which we did not--he proved his accessibility in our questions prior to our stay). The setting was beautiful; I'll carry the memory of peaceful mornings with coffee by the river with me for a while. The fire pit was a great addition--everything we needed was right there. Perhaps the nicest surprise was the coffee/tea supplies that we didn't have to think about--the house is secluded enough that it would have been an annoyance to go back out and get them, but everything we needed was provided. We highly recommend this house and our host. Great experience--we would do it again in a heartbeat!
