The cottage is the perfect escape for anyone looking to relax in nature. The river is beautiful and full of wildlife. We were lucky to see a falcon and a bald eagle! The accommodations are cozy. The cottage and bunkhouse are both very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed our time!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 We had the most incredible family camping trip thanks to Frank and Kaylee! Their property on the Muskegon River was everything we hoped for—simple, peaceful, and absolutely beautiful. The setting was perfect for reconnecting as a family, with nature all around us and the sound of the river just steps away. The hot tub was the cherry on top—perfect for relaxing after a long day of adventuring. Frank and Kaylee were kind, responsive, and thoughtful hosts who truly care about their guests having a great experience. Every detail was just right, and it made our time together feel even more special. We left with full hearts, wonderful memories, and a strong desire to return! If you’re looking for a cozy, scenic, and relaxing getaway—this is it. Thank you again, Frank and Kaylee!

Frank and Kaylee’s place was fantastic! So beautiful, so peaceful. It had everything my family and I wanted for a quiet and comfortable family vacation. The kids used the fishing dock everyday, they didn’t catch anything but had fun casting. The hot tub was very nice. The bed on the loft was very comfortable. Frank and Kaylee were very responsive and kind. We discovered the toaster was broken and they got one overnighted to us! Unexpected and very sweet. The kitchen had everything you would need and more, we loved they had good bored games, we didn’t bother packing ours so that was awesome. They provided coffee and tea too! We loved how quiet the neighborhood was and it is an hour from Lake Michigan and not too far from Traverse City. We did both and the drives were pretty and enjoyable. We would love to come back.

We really enjoyed staying here for a five year anniversary getaway and relaxation. Our pup got her zoomies out and even explored by the River! We would definitely book again! Both Frank and Kaylee were responsive if we had any questions and great hosts!

This stay was exceptional. A perfect place to relax and unwind. The lofted bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was incredibly well appointed, and of course access to a top-of-line hot tub doesn’t hurt. We also loved using the blackstone. The whole cabin was thoughtfully built, decorated and maintained. We loved having a coffee/drink on the upper dock overlooking the river every morning and evening. Easy access to the river. Walking the neighborhood felt akin to a nature reserve. 10/10 stay, we hope to return many times

Frank was an amazing host and communicated with us regularly prior to and on the day of the rental. That was important to us, as we were four high school school friends coming from four different locations. The house and bunkhouse were immaculate and perfectly suited for us. We used the fire each night, fished the river, and grilled a steak dinner. Overall, an easy five stars … we would do it again in a heartbeat if the four of us are able to meet in Western Michigan in the future. Thanks, Frank and Kaylee!

I had a perfect stay on the Muskegon River here at Frank and Kaylee's place. They have done a great job to make sure the house is really well supplied, everything is modern and up to date and the location on the river is amazing. All kinds of wildlife, you can bird watch from the back porch. Thank you very much!

The location was peaceful and pristine. The cottage had all the modern amenities we are used to but the unique benefit of being in a very private location with tons of nature. It was so quiet that you could hear a pin drop, yet you are constantly serenaded by birds, frogs, and the sounds of a gently flowing river.
